Filming on 20/10/10

Due to our actress not being able to make it to our scheduled re-film of the shots, we decided to make it easier and film in a local park called Ware Priory on 20/10/10.

The Priory has many scenic routes and woodland pathways which was ideal for the type of filming that we were trying to produce. It was also good weather whilst filming and the sun was reflecting through the trees which complimented our variety of camera angles.

We filmed Georgia running through the trees in high angles and we produced lots of possibilities to create match on action in in some parts. There was also a shot of Georgia's feet running through the Autumn leaves which i think works really well as it gives a sure idea of the mood we are trying to create in our video.

We have booked a camera to take home over the half term and have arranged days to come into school to finish editing our first cut in order to meet our deadline.

Sheduled Filming

Sam is going to take the camera home today (13/10/10) to film his horse running throught the field.

I am then going to take the camera home at the weekend and we will meet in Cheshunt in our chosen locations to re-film our shots that we failed to film previously.

This has slightly delayed our production time, but by next week all of our footage should be captured and we will be editing our first cut.

Filming on the 10/10/10

We scheduled to film a list of shots at the weekend. There was a problem with the camera as it was filming, because there was no playback. We decided to carry on with the filming and hope that it was just the playback that was not working, as the recording was still working as normal.

Once we had finished all of the shots which included the night time scenes and footage for the montage, we called it a day and were happy with what we thought we had filmed.

At school on Wednesday we tried to capture our footage that we had taken, only to find that it hadn't been recorded - which we thought might be the case.

The tape heads inside the camera were dirty which caused it to not capture. If we had known this before we could have cleaned the tape heads and our filming would have been successful.

We have decided to take this as a learning curve for our media skills, and we now know to check to see if the camera films and plays back before we film again.

Capturing our Footage

On Wednesday the 6th of October we captured all the filming we did from the 3rd to look back on all the different shots we did in order to tick off what we have done and to list all the shots we still need to do.

Location Change

We have decided to change the location of our next shot list due to our actor being unavailable at certain times at the weekend.

The new location we will be filming the day and night running shots will be at Cheshunt park and St.Mary's church in Cheshunt.

We have arranged to meet in Dane End at Sam's house on the 10th to do another day of filming.

Feedback on filming - 03/10/10

On the sunday we filmed, it was a mild but damp day. We managed to get all of our intented shots filmed and also added a few extra ideas that we found inspiration for at the time. We spent the day at Hetham Common in Hertford after a mix up at Ware station as we were unable to film there due to construction on the tracks.
